What causes acne?
There are four main reasons that can answer the question: what causes acne?
When evaluating what causes acne, it is actually good to take time and understand the different types of this complication. There are multiple things to consider when determining exactly the cause of acne.
These include; imbalances in the body hormones, poor diet, lack of vitamins and high stress levels. It is actually better to know deeper on how each of these acne causes leads to its development.
First, we look at the hormonal causes. We realize that fluctuation in the levels of hormones in the body is the major cause of acne. These ailments are common during puberty stage. The reason for this is that the body is active producing the androgen hormone group. Such natural components lead to enlarging of sebaceous glands responsible for the production of sebum. Once sebum mixes with the bacteria or dead skin cells, pores on the skin get blocked. The bacteria is said to multiply just inside the sebaceous glands and inflammation takes place. Acne symptoms now become visible and the person is diagnosed with acne. The worst thing people do is actually the application of chemical products on their skin in order to eliminate such pimples. This is because such chemical products trigger acne to multiplication. Therefore, we can conclude that continues inflammation inside the sebaceous glands is what causes acne on your skin.
We also have dietary acne causes. Many people ignore the fact that the foods that we eat can be responsible for acne development. If you happen to take unhealthy foods continuously, the chances of getting this ailment will be high. Imbalances in the levels of hormones can also be triggered by the processed foods that contain high quantities of chemicals and high fat content. Human body is actually composed of organs that are made up of chemical substances. Once the normal level of these chemical substances is distorted, skin infections such as acne arises since the skin is one of the sensitive organs. Therefore, you should eat healthy foods and avoid poor diet so as to stay acne free.
Stress is another trigger for what causes of acne
Acne can also be induced by stress. Recent clinical studies have been carried by experts to determine the correlation between acne and stress. Results have shown that people who have been exposed to stress for a long time have got high hormone production rate from adrenal glands. Excess hormones in the body can actually lead to the development of this particular ailment. Once you have stress, the healing process is slowed down and thus if you had acne pustules they will not be able to heal at a faster rate. Therefore, stress is one of the major causes of acne in both men and women.
Lack of vitamins in the body can also lead to acne. Your body can actually be prone to sickness once it lacks some vital vitamins and this is due to the weakened immune system. Lack of vitamins A, B, C, E and zinc can lead to the development of acne. Therefore, without adequate vitamins your skin will be much exposed to harmful bacteria and this is what causes acne.
